Home Maintenance in August
As summer winds down, it's the time to prepare your home for cooler weather. (I know, I know - I'm not ready for it either) Here are 3 ways you can prepare:
1. Inspect and repair any damaged caulking and weather stripping around windows and doors. This keeps your home at a comfortable temperature year-round.
2. Next, take a look at your HVAC. Vacuum bathroom fan grills and clean or replace air filters to keep your air flowing well.
3. One other tidbit - it's a good idea to yearly inspect the garage door opener, lubricating the motor and chain to ensure it keeps working smoothly.
